Kara’s passion for jewellery began with a cherished tradition—one shaped by her special bond with her grandmother, Cynthia. As Kara recalls, “At 16 years old, my grandmother took me to our family jeweller to choose my first piece. That simple act of selecting something personal and precious with her by my side left a lasting impression on me. It was more than just jewellery—it was a moment, a memory, a connection to the past and a symbol of the future.”

The name ‘Karousel’ pays homage to a place of significance in Kara and her extended family’s life: a cluster complex where her family had deep roots and where she holds joyful childhood memories. While Karousel represents a physical location, it also symbolises continuity, tradition, and collective experiences. Kara aims to incorporate this legacy, which influences her personal design aesthetic and the philosophy of her brand.
